Funnyman
We seen Dane Cook last winter and it was the best time! He's made us laugh for years and finally we got to see his live show. This is by far one of my favorite jokes, makes me laugh every time Comic Relief 2006.
Notable Author
I just finished my 4th book by Susanna Kearsley and am anxiously awaiting her next one. By far, my favorite has been The Winter Sea. The story was perfect. I've always wanted to go to Scotland so the fact that this novel was based near Slains Castle, the main character was an author researching a new book, and there was time travel based on reincarnation, I was SOLD. She wrote a similar theme with Mariana which I absolutely loved as well. Her writing flows so easily you honestly feel like YOU are the one stepping back into a previous lifetime. She's also Canadian! I highly recommend her other books as well The Shadowy Horses and The Rose Garden is the most recent release. She has a few other too that I am desperate to read but can't seem to find! Happy Reading ;-)
Google Doodle Guitar
So yesterday Google Guitar was the coolest tribute to Les Paul. At first I didn't even realize that you could strum the strings with your mouse! As soon as we got home I showed my son who had a blast with it. Such a creative idea. More reason why Google ROCKS! Today while surfing I found someone who took it to the next level and played Metallica on it! So cool!!

Our Bella
Last spring we puppy-sat my Sisters Boston Terrier Sophie for a week. Within 2 weeks I called the breeder she got Sophie from and we were blessed to find out that she still had one puppy left from the litter, a girl we named Bella, Sophie's sister. No one had wanted her because she had a 'cherry eye'. It was flared up pretty bad the day we went to pick her up so a few nights later while she was curled up on my lap I held a warm cloth on it. It's been almost a year and the cherry eye has never come back! I was never a dog person but the way my son just lit up while we were watching Sophie I knew, just knew, that we HAD to get him a puppy. It was the best decision I've ever made because I couldn't imagine our lives without her now. She's so smart, lovable and well behaved - there could not possibly be a better dog on the planet. We love you Bella!!
A Dear Friend
Several years ago a childhood friend of mine moved to Alaska. We reconnected through the glory that is Facebook and are able to stay in touch and share our lives from a million miles away. I am a wee bit of a post-a-holic on Facebook and she noticed one of my many videos of the band Flyleaf . She had mentioned that they have come to her town before where she was able to meet them - she asked if I would like an autograph the next time they came, so of course I said most definitely! I didn't care if they wrote it on a gum wrapper, I was ecstatic she even thought of me. So several months later I received a message from her that not only was she able to meet them again, but they had the lead singer, Lacey Sturm pose for a picture holding a sign that said "Hi Jamie Lynn". I was floored! Not only did I have this fantastic picture, but the whole band signed the poster and my friend mailed it to me. One of the greatest gifts I've ever received. The thoughtfulness of one of my older friends filled my heart!
Love Bites
This is a terrific summer time show. The pilot aired last Thursday at 10pm and I am excited for tonight's episode! Here is a clip from last.
